Adult/Geriatric Mood Disorders Adult Hispanic Male with Major Depressive Disorder Depression among the Hispanic/Latino, community has increased over the past 20 years. Mental health practictoners should begin to focus on the various sup groups of Hispanics to deliver appropriate mental hygiene services. The Latino population is facing disparities with treatment and recognition of depression, Major Depression Disorder (MDD), a mental disorder, diagnosised, after of reports of symptoms such as (weight gain, insomnia, social withdrawn, decreased energy, back pain, headaches, etc) presents (Caplan, 2016). As a mental health practitioner, being cognizant with screening tools and instruments, such as Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (Timmerby,2017) and Montgomery- Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) (Zuidersma,et al 2019) to prevent the risk of misdiagnosing a client. After examination, consistent medication regimens and psychotherapy are essential, for treatment and diminishing of signs. (Caplan, 2016). A goal of treatment, for an adult with MDD, is a personalized, sole treatment plan that best suited for their needs. The Center for Disease Control (CDC, gov) reports men and women, between 18 to 24 to 4.6% are reported to have MDD, of that 4% are of Hispanic descent (CDC, gov). The purpose of this paper will discuss a 32-year-old Hispanic man, working as a Laborer with severe depression, no significant medical or psychiatric history except “ shoulder and back pain,” and the treatment options available. The treatment decisions made, are assessed, to increase the knowledge of psychopharmacotherapeutics of a medication regimen. 2

Adult/Geriatric Mood Disorders My Client My client a 32-year-old Hispanic American male, who brought to the US by his father as a teenager, after the death of his mother. The client was referred by his, provider, for a medical evaluation to rule out depression. The client does not report any medical or surgical history, other than “stiff” shoulders and back pain. However, the client works as a laborer in a warehouse. The client report a history of “bullying and teasing” “for being black” “always felt like an outsider:” while in high school. The client has seven siblings, home life was “good”, but “keeps to me”,
