No person has the same lifestyle as anyone else, similar but not exactly the same. I come from a family of immigrants. We are from Guatemala City, Guatemala. My mother came to the United States at a very young age. She was about eleven years old when she became a citizen and moved to Chicago. My mother always went back to Guatemala and met my father one summer. My father was unfortunately not lucky enough to receive a visa or his citizenship. Whenever my mother had to come back to the States, my father was left in Guatemala. After a couple of years of dating my parents got married. Not much time after that I was in my mother’s belly. Once I was born my dad sadly was not able to be there for my birth. He was brave enough to get here the way a lot of immigrants get here. My dad went through a lot trying to come to the States, just for me. He started to work the day after his arrival. My father has always done his best to put a roof over our heads and food on the table for us. My parents taught me
