2 Illegal Hiring Incident Analysis In this case the HR director would play the strategic business partner. “ HR Directors are tasked with overseeing HR systems, handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, assessing staffing needs, hiring employees, designing training programs, and developing compensation plans.” (Betterteam, 2019). The HR director would determine if laws were being followed correctly when addressing this incident. The director and other chiefs within the company will come up with a plan on how to address the incident and what actions to take. “ There are direct and indirect consequences to committing a violation under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. These consequences happen on an individual basis and an enterprise one, meaning that employees aren’t protected under the corporate umbrella. (AC Global Risk, 2019). Response to the incident My first response to this incident would be to investigate the situation to figure out what laws were violated.
