2.Summarize the periods of Judaism from about 650 c.e. through the 21st century. Around the 650-1800 the Jews were under the Islamic and Christian Rule. The Jew in the medieval times lived with the Muslim or Christian rule. Which both allow Jews to practice their religion with a certain amount of toleration. Majority of the Jews that lived during the medieval and modern times are Sephardic Jewish meaning they lived or came from the Middle East, North Africa, and Spain. Jews were considered as outsiders in medieval Christian society in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe but they were called Ashkenazi instead of the Sephardic. With permission the Jews could live in certain neighborhoods. They ran their own community like affairs and intuitions like schools social-relief funds and more. They eventually developed their own language overtime which called Yiddish which was a mixture of Hebrew and German. During the 1200s, because the Christians were forbidden to lend money as interest the Jews made a great investment into banking. The Jewish neighborhood were called the
