BUSINESS SOLUTIONS IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS 2AbstractThis dissertation serves to scrutinize and describe how five specific Information Systems are of benefit to enterprises today. There are many different and sophisticated Information Systems in use as the current world progresses, however, I will focus this essay on Digital Dashboards with Key Performance indicators (KPI), Transaction Processing Systems (TPS), Decision Support Systems (DSS), Cloud Computing, and Database Management Systems (DBMS). In an attempt to keep my research as non-bias as possible, I will highlight their benefits to business organizations, while also detailing unique situations where they may cause more issues than benefits provided. In addition, I will make use of statistical analysis and metrics in order to reinforce this work as predominately facts-based. By the conclusion, it is my hope that the audience develops their own critical analysis of each unique Information System, and is well-informed on their application and uniqueness in the business world today, as we know it.

Any business can be successful, however the measure of that success is only realized when there is consistent, organized and functional management of all organizational and financial information, using efficient information systems. This, compelled businesses to research and develop the technologyrequired to make information as accurate as possible, while maintaining a high level of accessibility. It is a known fact that an effectively utilized Information System can allow enterprises to make better and more informed decisions, thus creating their desired result. Digital Dashboard with Key Performance Indicators (KPI)A digital dashboard is an electronic interface that serves to aggregate and visual specific data from differing sources such as hosted files, databases, web services and locally owned products. They allow the user to monitor business performance concerned with historical data and trends, observe real-time information, and decipher data to be used under actionable terms. In cooperation, Key Performance Indicators measure to the performance of your company and how effective they are at achieving predetermined goals. To really hit the idea home, I will highlight various modalities in which this specific Information System has been utilized to the benefit of companies.
