DELTA AIRLINES: FLYING HIGH ABOVE THE REST 2AbstractThis dissertation serves to examine the processes Delta Airlines has utilized to gain a strategic advantage over many of its competitors in the airline industry. The intent is to focus on one of their most successful information systems in use, however, I will also highlight the correlation between this system and others that have been instrumental in their continued success. I will make use of interpreted data along with well-developed research and statistics, in order to build afoundation for my analysis. This serves to allow the reader to formulate their own opinions regarding the subject matter, whether that be in-line or against my own. Furthermore, these opinions are my own and have been propelled through my research. This has given me a jaded view of the information to be presented, in addition to, a dogmatic opinion of Delta Airlines. Objectively, the overall goal is to facilitate thought and enhance discussion over the topic in question.
