Michelle Renteria Jacqueline Sykes ENGL& 101 04.23.2018 The importance of One on One Learning After reading the article “Teaching One to One” by Paul Kaye, I found various benefits to this specific topic and I can use my past experiences as a great example. During my elementary school year, I was always shy to express any feeling/emotion to the teacher when I was confused about a certain question or problem. I felt that I was going to be judged by my peers/teacher so I would always wing my answer whether I knew the answer or not. I felt that if I didn’t know, they’d think I was dumb or wasn’t “up to par” with my classmates. I felt that I could of used a bit more of one-on-one time with my teachers or if she had an assistant teacher to get in contact with an adult, maybe even a smaller class size to help me cope with my shyness or if I had built a stronger relationship with my teacher I probably would of been a lot more confident at the time.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
