2-21-07 Theology became a major issue in this time. “How can I be saved?” Baptism Holy Eucharist, Holy Communion, Holy Supper Private Confession is a fairly late idea in the Reformation. Extreme Unction Marriage was regarded as a sacrament, a priest didn't have to be present Ordination, by which a man became a priest. It was a very special sacrament (restricted to a small group of men), it separated them from everyone else. Definition of priest is someone who offers sacrifice. This sacrifice is the sacrifice of the Mass, the reenactment of Christ's death. The protestants reject a bunch of the ideas of the 7 sacraments.
