GeographyKoalas are native to Australia and are found in the Eastern and Southern regions of the country. Majority can be found in four Australian states: South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales.
HabitatUsually koalas like to in bushlands. They are found in a range of habitats from coastal islands and tall eucalypt forests to low woodlands inland.
GestationKoalas usually have a gestation period from 30-36 days but because of their gestation period being in a small time limit , koalas are born underdeveloped.
After birth a male doesn’t assist in caring for the young. Also as the baby has been born the “joey”(the baby koala) is 1 inch long. The joey is not only small but the joey is also deaf, blind, hairless, but uses its upper body strength to crawl into its mother pouch after birth.
