The good characteristics that Oedipus display as a leader are wasted at the end when his bad side is blurred by the good side Oedipus. Oedipus has been struggling with evil in his entire life, but in the end, he invites the doom he has been escaping. Oedipus has a tragic flaw, Pride which is his Hamartia. Oedipus is too arrogant and proud, and he entirely relies on his powers and understanding to control his life. He thinks that he has the power to control everything he does not realize that he cannot control chances, reality, time and fate.
