Building a trusting patient-provider relationship is essential so that all concerns disclose can be appropriately addressed. This type of relationship provides a gateway for ascertaining the patient's accurate health history. Patients' health history must be obtained through effective communication strategies, and it varies from person to persondepending on many factors which include but not limited to age, mental status, gender, beliefs, ethnicity, and educational status (Ball, Dains, Flynn, Solomon, & Stewart, 2015). Data obtained from patients, families, and other sources would then be analyzed by the clinician to provide an accurate diagnosis. An accurate diagnosis prevents the clinician from deferring the proper prescriptive therapy for the patients. The InterviewIt is imperative that the interview process is appropriate for the unambiguous patient. Theinterview process is necessary to obtain relevant information that can detect patients' problems. Interview skills can also detect whether or not a patient complies with prescribed therapies and follow-up appointments. During the interview process, the clinician should keenly listen to the patient while observing facial expression, appearance, interaction with family or caregiver, and how the patient is relating the information (Dains, Baumann, & Scheibel, 2015).
