Abstract In this paper I am going to describe the scenario of a hiker (Steven Jones), who had injured himself on the trip. Steven hurt himself by getting his boot lodged into an old branch. The emergency room diagnosed Steven’s right knee with Meniscus of the right knee. The physicians’ in the emergency room declared that he would need to have surgery. Steven has insurance with a high deductable, however he started researching physicians that would be best to take care of his medical need. Steven started researching Physicians’, such as a 35 year old physician who had good marketing, however lacked with educational materials and an ease to access information pertaining to this particular physician. Another group that he research was called “Macomb Orthopedic Group,” in their site they had a list of physicians’ with their individual credentials listed and all the information listed with the ease of access by placing their downloadable forms and prices with the procedures that they perform. In the following research I will be analyzing in detail the positioning strategy for each of the physician groups. I will also cover the strengths and weaknesses of each of the group chosen to perform the procedure to fix Steven’s knee. In this paper I will be discussing as well, the advantages and disadvantages with the discussion of the concept “package pricing”. Lastly in my opinion, through analyzing and researching of this paper, I will provide ideas on how the groups can market their assets for the good or the bad and how they can improve their strategies, if needed. The strategic planning process involves finding long-term goals, and running through the different steps of the process to achieve those goals. Strategy planning involves finding where the company excels as well as where to allocate resources to maximize the long-term potential or strategy of the company.”
Orthopedic Physicians of Thirty-Five Years In this paragraph, I am going to discuss the positioning strategies of the two groups that Steven Jones researched through the internet pertaining to his knee injury. The first group that was researched was a 35 year old group which gave Steven little educational and informational knowledge of the group.
