RESUME FORMATTING 2 Resume Formatting and Best Practices As much as MS Word offers resume templates, I choose to structure and build up my resume from scratch to create unique and original documents. To create an outstanding resume, I can use the various formatting styles Word offers. These formatting styles include but not limited to headings and subheadings, bullets, page margins, line spacing as well as tables. For my resume to stand out, I can use headings and subheadings to highlight my various skills, experiences and even qualifications. I think, creating a resume in which the different sections are separated using headings makes it easier for recruiters to read. On the other hand, using the different styles of headings will make my resume stand out from the rest. The next formatting style that can make my resume stand out is the bullet points. Bullet
