CalvinismThe Reformation had a lasting impact on the Christian faith movement. After witnessing years of malpractices by the Catholic Church, Martin Luther and Huldrych Zwingli had enough. Both of these men broke from the church’s teachings, which ushered in others to begin to write about the theologies they believed to be correct. John Calvin was one of these men. After traveling and living in Geneva until his death, Calvin wrote about his theological perspectives onthe Scriptures. After his death, Calvin’s writings would travel well-beyond Geneva, and would usher in a transformational movement known as Calvinism.
