He uses characterization in Christopher Boone, (the main character) who is described by the author as an awkward boy who has been diagnosed with autism, more specifically, aspergers. Christopher deals with many obstacles that are demonstrated through the novel by his disability, and overcomes them with his intelligence, such as how he is able to do A level maths, which is a level that most kids without disabilities have difficulty with and his view on things in a non-neurotypical manner. The author proves that this is true, within the theme that disabilities are often viewed as barriers, they can actually be a doorway and asset to life.“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” is about a boy, named Christopher boone who has autism, and more specifically aspergers.
