MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management program is to prepare graduates to become successful professionals and leaders in the global Hospitality and Tourism industry and in the community. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course presents a localized perspective of the organizational, planning, promotional, and operational procedures utilized for successful tourism development at the community level. PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES PLO1. Demonstrate and apply evaluate content knowledge in the field of hospitality and tourism management. PLO2. Identify and contrast theoretical and practical experiences necessary to become successful industry professional. PLO3. Utilize and develop skills in critical thinking, effective communication and leadership. PLO4. Recognize and support the merits of community service, ethical behavior, social and global responsibility. COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND MEASURMENTS CLO1. Reinforce principles of travel and tourism management by identifying important community and tourism development values and potentials. (PLO2) CLO2.
