Isolationism: A policy of remaining apart from the affairs or interests of other groups, especially the political affairs of other countries IMPERIALISTS ISOLATIONISTS 1. Being involved in foreign affairs means more benefits for our country, they could help us if we ever had an issue with another nation 1. Not getting involved in foreign affairs means more peace in our nation, not getting involved in other wars for other countries’ issues My Lai Massacre: We were in Vietnam defending their country (and it was not benefiting us at all), and Viet Cong members would disguise themselves during the daytime and soldiers could not differentiate between them and other citizens of Nam. The soldiers were so fed up that they “proceeded to set huts on fire, gang-rape the women, and murder some 500 unarmed civilians including approximately 50 children under the age of four” (history.com). If we had never gotten involved in a war that would not benefit our nation, this massacre would have never happened. 2. Global increase in business and trade, increased imports and exports of goods. 2. If we never get involved with other countries in the first place, then we could never have war and never have to fight others at all.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
