Carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids Carbohydrates provide quick energy when burned in respiration Lipids are in important part of cell membranes and hormones Proteins perform numerous functions and are common structural components Nucleic Acids are either DNA or RNA. Stores and transmits genetic information. What are the four DNA nucleotides? Which RNA nucleotide does each DNA nucleotide pair with?   Adenine Cytosine Guanine Thymine Adenine can only pair with uracil Cytosine can only pair with guanine Draw a plant cell in the anaphase stage of mitosis, including any appropriate labels. Chromatids are pulled apart to separate ends (two sister chromatids), and the membrane begins to pinch off in the middle Give an example of a cell that would undergo mitosis. Give an example of a cell that would undergo meiosis. Meiosis goes on only in germ line cells (cells that divide to give rise to gametes (eggs and sperm)) Mitosis goes on in every other cell (somatic – all cells that are not germ line cells).
