Discussion 3-1 The only surviving member of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the Worlds is the Great Pyramid at Giza in Cairo, Egypt. Built between 2700 B.C and 2500 B.C. the pyramids were built as tombs for the royals of Egypt. The universal idea I believe it represents is a pinnacle in development of royal mortuary and religious beliefs. I believe the pyramid reflects power, respect and the belief in life after death and concern for ones soul of the ancient Egyptians. The Khufu is the greatest and most extraordinary pyramid covering 13 acres. It is believe that this pyramid encompasses more than two million stone blocks. The weight of the It is estimated that each stone block weighed between two to thirty tons each. (Mark, 2016) Egyptians were dedicated to their culture from what studies have showed, the pyramids took a great amount of time to build, which reflects that the builders were both resilient and dedicated.
