Short Answer 2-4 My chosen artifact is The Great Pyramid of Giza. Built between 2700 B.C. and 2500 B.C., the pyramids were built as tombs for the royals of Egypt. The Khufu is the greatest and most extraordinary pyramid covering 13 acres and standing 455 feet tall. It is believed that this pyramid encompasses more than two million stone blocks. It is estimated that each stone block weighed between two to thirty tons each. (Mark, 2016) The pyramid of Khafra is a bit smaller but built on higher ground. The third pyramid is smaller than the others, standing at 215 feet and was built for Menkaure. The elements of the artifact that I believe are of most importance are what is inside the pyramids. The art and scenes on the walls of the pyramid sheds light on their culture, beliefs and life. The grand size of these stone-made pyramids has a definite impact, along with the structural shape.
