The staff is comprised of both correctional and psychologists. The foundation of knowledge is built on shaping and chaining ways, through different reinforcement schedules and learning techniques. These things can make major changesto the social environment of the prison. Anger management is one the skills that can be taught inmates. Having an understanding of both past (historical) techniques and present ones can be vital to these concepts. There are different techniques that can be used to help shape and change behavior. Techniques such as shaping and chaining and One trial technique, provide alternate ways to help inmates curb anger and aggression and steers them toward a more positive outcome.Shaping and ChainingAccording to Deschryver (1992), shaping is defined as the development of a new behavior by the successive reinforcement of closer approximations to that behavior.
