[SHORTENED TITLE UP TO 50 CHARACTERS] 2JournalsJournal Entry #1My topic is more of a political and social issue. Its been going on ever since slaves were brought over to America. There are different forms of writing about the same topic. There are newspapers, scholarly, blogs and more. The three I’m going to be talking about newspapers, scholarly, blogs. Overall length is something important to some readers. The scholarly is going to be the longest out of the other two. I used Racially Biased Policing: A Principled Response it has 165 pages about race and policing is goes more into details about where it came from how it happened. It gives examples of different cases that have happened a lot more depth into the article. A blog and newspaper are around the same length I would say. Some can be longer if its something huge because they want to catch people's attention so they make it as long/small as they need to. They are much shorter than a scholar. They capture what's going on in the moment and they talk about the one thing not.For the word choice newspaper and bloggers use words that are easier to read because it'sabout catching attention. Blogs can also use slang when using titles. Scholarly papers don't hold back when using words. Its word choice is normally long and it takes time to read. It's not a quick read it’s something that takes longer. All three are good to use but you have to know your crowd when using them.

This has however, lead to somewhat of a divide because many people think this movie was very shallow and didn’t get its point of cross and is only considered good due people unwilling to criticize majority black cast movie. This divide is shown very well in all types of media. In a newspaper article made by Time called, The Revolutionary Power of Black Panther, the author conveys the movie as history in the making. He exclaims this movie in this current climate in society will help strengthen the black community. This article is very detailed and therefore a long article of the positive effects this movie will have and already have on today’s society. “Black Panther is emblematic of the most productive responses to bigotry: rather than going for hearts and minds of racists, it celebrates what those who choose to prohibit equal representation and rights are ignoring, willfully or not,”(Smith). The author focuses heavy on the
