Overview of “Fight Song” by Stembi Machoka o “This is my fight song, take back my life song, prove I’m right song, my powers turned on starting right now I’ll be strong. I’ll play my fight song. And I don’t care if nobody else believes cause I've still got a lot of fight in me.” o Part of the chorus is stating that despite the hurt and the pain, one must still carry on and take back control of their life. o The singer was rejected multi times by numerous record labels, but she never gave up, and today has achieved her dreams, because she pushed through the pain. o The song is one of contemplation. It has an upbeat, uplifting, empowering tone and tempo. The song can be likened to one giving themselves a pep talk before a big performance, regards of how big/small the action might be, what matters is the impact it has and to never give up.
