Shirley Lopez Student ID: 000894546C489 Task 3The following will be a comparison of U.S. Healthcare system to that of Great Britain’s with access to healthcare and its healthcare delivery. Great Britain has a government organized universal health care system that is names the National Health System (NHS) and it covers all of its citizens which include children, adults, andretired/disabled individuals, in other words the coverage is universal for those residents of England and those individuals receive care for free at the point of service. (“International Health Care System Profiles”, 2019). Great Britain pays a higher amount in taxes that goes towards the coverage of healthcare for all. The British healthcare system is a universal healthcare concept that treats healthcare as a right, not a privilege. Unlike the United States where social medicine is not a way of healthcare and in fact individuals must get insurance through private insurance with a cost to a healthcare policy that either the individual covers or the employer will cover some premium cost with the employee covering the rest of their healthcare needs.
