Janelle McLaughlin-Ali Mid-Term Assignment IRLS360- Winter 2019 Midterm Assignment
Islam is the third of the Abrahamic religions practiced in the Middle East, and now all over the world. Arabic speakers of all Abrahamic faiths use the word “Allah” (SWT) to mean “God”. Islam is translated to mean; “Submission to God”, and Muslim would then go on to be translated to “submitter”. I am sure you are wondering why this is important. It is extremely essential in understanding why and how certain areas of Islam are focused and surrounded around Allah (SWT). Everything must focus and include and give thanks and praise to Allah (SWT). The history of Islam began with the Prophet Adam and has transcended thru out the lineage to the last prophet Muhamad (SWT). Prophet Mohamed (SWT) was the last messenger and came with the greatest miracle of the Holy Qur’an, which has stayed true to the original recitation of 1400 years. With the implementation from the Qur’an, Hadiths which were accounts of Prophet Mohammed (SWT) life and teachings, along with the Sunnah birthed Sharia Law. This would then begin to change the dynamic of family ties and relationships to economics and trade as well as leadership. The break of two sects followed after the death of Prophet Muhammad (SWT). This has had a dramatic and lasting effect on the Umar of the religion as well continued conflict between Muslim states and international diplomatic ties. astray Christians who deviated from the message sent by the Prophet Isa (Jesus, SWT). Every Prophet has a lineage and blood line in which he has come from. The Prophet Abraham (SWT) is the father to two major prophets Ismael and also Isaac (SWT). Prophet Ismael(SWT) is the grandfather to many generations between with Prophet Muhammed and Prophet Isaac (SWT) is the grandfather to many generations between leading to Prophet Jesus (SWT). In understanding the lineage, one can then understand the time line of events and also the message which each Prophet was sent with from Allah (SWT). Each prophet was sent with the basic message of Tarweed, which was to remember the oneness of Allah (SWT). To worship Allah (SWT) alone,
