Lynds Prayers and Intentions As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day next week, and celebrate Education Week in October, let us pray and give thanks for those who have committed their lives to the teaching profession; teachers as well as those who have committed to spend each day together working with children. We are all teachers in some respect. This includes you at home; parents and guardians are a child’s first and foremost teacher in their lives. God, you are the source of all wisdom and knowledge. Bless the learning process in each classroom. Give each teacher a renewed passion for his/her subject and creative ideas for lesson plans. Give them insight to know how to help each student understand and learn. Your presence generates calm and confidence. Quiet the hearts of any troubled students and give them your peace. Help the adults who come in contact with our students to see them the way you see them. We ask your favor and blessing for this school. Amen Hello St. Mark Lions! Welcome to the second month of school. Our school is growing; we recently were able to add another kindergarten teacher so now we have three kindergarten classrooms. Thanks you for your patience as we work together to place students in classrooms. Congratulations to the Cross Country team for their participation in the city wide event yesterday. Thank you to Mrs. Slobodzian and Ms. Cherniawski for being good shepherds to our team. Upcoming important dates include picture day October 16-17th; Schools Win Twice tickets need to be back by the 17th; and our Hallowe’en dance is on the afternoon of the 31st. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in the afternoon and have some fun. Two things you can do to help us at school: please do not send any weapons with the children’s costumes; please do not send any candy to school after November 1. In the month of October, we are working on the letter “I” in Lions. I stands for Inclusive : we want our school to include everyone as a brother or sister in Christ.
