Self – reflection of MGTA35 (Management Communication) Student Name: Xiaowen Hong Student number: 1003205514 Lecture 04 Professor Heathcote Introduction When I first time saw the name of this course in my enrollment cart, the first word came from my mind was presentation. This was because anything that related to communication generally required doing speeches in front of the class. That was the most challenging part for me of my studying life in the university. In fact, I was afraid of taking this course because my mother language was not English, and I didn’t feel confident about my spoken English. But luckily, I finish this course on the right track, and it is time to recall the learning process. Practical skills gained I still remembered the feeling when I got the feedback of introductory speech, which was my first speech of this course. There was a range of weaknesses and strengths on the sheet, I found that everything on the marked column was on the area of strengths except minimum use of fillers. This became a motivation for me to get over using fillers in my later speeches. I started to
