Education and Equality There is no doubt that education is an effective tool in our efforts to build a more equitable society. Without education there are obvious disadvantages like those stated in the Black Star Project Contract for Finishing High School in our text. Some examples are; being less likely to find a job that pays well, more likely to go to jail, more likely to be involved in drug use, and being less life to have a stable relationship or marriage. We as a society need instill in our young that education is key to being successful. Also, until we ensure that educational opportunities are available to everyone everywhere the gaps in our society will never be filled. “How do we remedy the historic mistreatment of deserving black Americans without punishing deserving white Americans today?
