Magero 2 Should Critical Thinking Be Taught to University Students Even though everyone thinks critical thinking should still be taught to university students. Critical thinking requires a student to use his or her ability to reason without being clouded by emotions or feelings. When a person thinks critically, He or She becomes an active learner rather than a passive recipient of information. Critical thinking entails thinking deeply past the common understanding, and it also involves getting the and original reasons before reacting to something. There are many importance of learning critical thinking skills as a student and even as an average person[ CITATION Joh04 \l 1033 ]. By being a critical thinker, one makes independent decisions for themselves. As a student, it reduces dependency on the teacher and the class work and hence improves one results in class. By gaining this skill, a student can know their learning styles, their strengths, and weaknesses thus making them take ownership of their education[ CITATION Joh04 \l 1033 ]. Skills from critical thinking are essential for self-realization and reflection. For us to live a meaningful life and to structure our lives appropriately, it is necessary to justify and review back on our values and decisions. These provide the tools for the process of self-evaluation.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
