Foods and belief. In the religion of Islam and Judaism, most of the followers are forbidden from eating pork, unscaled fish and other carnivorous animals. Muslims usually have a certain way of slaughtering meat. When Muslims slaughter a animal they say a specific prayer and cut the animal through the jugular vein, carotid artery, trachea, and oesophagus. This is one of the most humane methods to slaughter a animal. All the animals are supposed to be slaughtered by hand. When the animal is slaughtered the blood of the animal should be drained. The reason behind this is because blood comprises high levels of uric acid which can be quite damaging to the human body if consumed. Research suggests those animals killed through other methods, their meat consists of e-Coli poisoning, bacteria and other harmful substances.
