Unformatted text preview: Name___________________________________ Section_______________ AGSM 325 - Control Problems Homework 1) A poultry broiler grower wishes to control a ventilation fan with a thermostat so it will operate when the temperature is above 70 degrees. Draw the appropriate wires using a solid line for hot wires and a dashed line for neutrals to wire the system. 2) The poultry broiler grower decides that this system works fine but would like to be able to turn the fan on by bypassing the thermostat. Draw the appropriate wires to include the Hand/Off/Auto switch in the circuit to allow the broiler grower to override the thermostat and operate the ventilation fan manually. 3) You want to control a 120 volt motor with a time clock, thermostat, and hand/off/auto switch. The motor should operate when the hand/off/auto switch is in the “hand” position, OR when the hand/off/auto is in the “auto” position AND the time is between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. (assume the time clock is set for this) AND the temperature is above 75 degrees (assume the thermostat is set...
