There are only a few studies that focuson leaders. This is because this specific population is not available. The focus of this paper is toanalyze the impact of Emotional Intelligence on leader effectiveness at FCA; and to see if thereis a lack of knowledge of Emotional Intelligence at this facility, as well as to see if there is anycorrelation between Emotional Intelligence and team leadership at FCA. What is Emotional Intelligence?1Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize one’s own feelings and the feelings of others’ aswell. There are four basic dimensions that are the learning skills for Emotional Intelligence.These are as followed; Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social- Awareness and Relationship-Management. There are roughly twenty emotional competencies and skills that can be learned,developed and exercised according to Goleman (2008).Being Emotionally Intelligent isn’t just having these competencies but it requires for you tounderstand, manage, use them while performing. In the Self-Awareness cluster we haveEmotional Self-Awareness- this means that you have a solid understanding of your own feelingsand emotions, your strengths and weaknesses and what drives them (Kunalić, B., Mujkić, A.,Jusić, J., Pajević, M., & Rovčanin, D.,2016). Accurate Self-Awareness- is when you understandyour values and goals and where you are going in life. Self-Confidence- is your understanding ofyour own strengths and limitations. Operate from competence and know when to count onsomeone else on the team.
