Christopher Anosike November 27, 2012 Professor Stanford Reaction Paper After viewing the films Black Wall Street, Black Inventors , A. Phillip Randolph and The Road to Brown , I gained more knowledge about my history. All but one of them were very interesting and insightful. I felt that the films Black Wall Street, Black Inventors were more subjective whereas A. Phillip Randolph and The Road to Brown were more objective. I was fond of the Black Wall Street film because it was structured very nicely. The sequence of events helped me understand what the struggle was about, who the key players were and how they went about challenging the status quo. I was able to pinpoint certain things that I found to be enlightening. I gathered that whites were discriminatory against blacks. Thus, they referred to blacks as “Little Africa” during the Blacks Wall Street movement. I have come to understand that these riots were brutal. From watching the film, I noticed that over 1300 homes were destroyed and burned down. I also understood that both blacks and whites were treated unjustly. To my surprise, over between 500-1500 blacks and whites were tortured.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
