FORUM 4 – REPLY 2 2 I enjoyed reading your post on strategic outsourcing this week. I would like to add some pitfalls to outsourcing. According to Alkhatib (2017), outsourcing logistics is significant way for firms that compete to achieve competitive advantages through improving customer service and reducing logistics costs. Also according to Alkhatib (2017), the strategic benefits of logistics outsourcing include: focus on core competencies, quality of service, recruiting the best, better technology, wider skill pools, agility and employee benefits. I fully agree with Alkhaatib on the points made, but logistics is getting goods to the customer. In the past five years, logistics is the biggest pain due to poor customer service of the logistics companies and the amount of damage they cause to finish good. The last time I looked Amazon was starting their own logistics in getting their goods to the customer.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
