AIR POLLUTION IN UNITED STATES 2 Air Pollution In United States The term pollution can be taken to mean making water, air, land or any other part of the environment unsafe for a human to live. This can be through the introduction of some contaminants into the above mention areas ( Portney, 2010). The main cause of pollution can be either from commercial transport that which contributes to the release of fumes into the air, causing smog and then which end up harming the residents who live around the affected areas. There are people and residents of different age and the most affected group is the children and the athletes. However, there are methods that have been introduced in order to introduce policies that help to mitigate the effects of air pollution. These policies should be implemented since the more the people get exposed to the pollutants, it increases the chances of the residents developing respiratory issues and complications ( Caiazzo, 2013). Air pollution is the leading cause of human health challenges that Americans have been facing for long in polluted cities. As we can read from statistics most cities in the world and specifically united states are polluted with smoke mostly from cars, aircraft, and locomotives. Since the challenges affect the states from the grassroots citizen to the senior most citizen. ( Künzli et al. 2010). The appropriate action needs to be taken from local government to the national government. More so, there are legislative that need to be implemented with policies to determine the direction mitigation will take to prevent further air pollution. There are several recommendations that needs to be implemented and raised to help in fighting the social challenges that are faced by the agencies and bodies that have offered to prevent pollution.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
