Tyler Deford Persuasive Outline Topic: Seatbelts Audience: A diverse group of college students that may not know what could happen if they don’t wear their seatbelts General Purpose: To Persuade Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to wear their seatbelt in every moving vehicle they are in. Thesis: Wearing your seatbelt can not only save you money but also save your life. Introduction: Attention Getter: Have you ever seen the signs Click it or Ticket?” Reason to Listen: With this in mind wearing your seatbelt cannot only save you money but also can save your life. Thesis Statement: A seatbelt is something that is put into vehicles for a reason, not wearing them will results in a big price to pay. Credibility Statement: Driving is a huge part of my life, its something that makes me feel free. Something I don’t need anyone’s help doing. I got my license when I was 16 and have never got a seat belt violation. I have also done some research on the internet.
