An assessment of whether the Brady is mastering the stage of identity.Brady does not seem to be mastering this (age 15) stage of identity. He has no friends, and according to Erik Erickson, friends should be very important to young people at this stage of the game (Sprouts, 2017). Friends are more important than even family to most teenagers. The fact that the client, Brady, has no interest in school is also concerning (Plummer, Makris, & Brocksen, 2014). Teenagers do skip school on occasion, but most kids enjoy the social aspect of high school and getting to see their friends.Identify the areas that should be addressed in an intervention based on his or her developmental stage. Brady needs to be make friends. He needs to have a support system in place especially since he does not appear to have formed a supportive attachment to his father (Plummer, et. al., 2014). Perhaps a mentor would be helpful for him, one who has similar interests. He also needs to attend school because an education is important for his future.
