Lab #1 “Laboratory Measurement Procedures” Lab Date: January 23 rd 2008. Report Date: January 26 th 2008. EE 230 Lab Kyle Veugeler Section: C Abstract: The purpose of Lab #1 was to introduce the class to the many lab instruments we will be using throughout the year in lab. Here we were to determine instrument resistances and simple procedures to better our knowledge with them. The following topics are included within Lab #1 o Part 1: Review of Measurement Procedures o Part 2: Computer Aided Measurements o Attachments of PSPICE Plots The Lab Itself The actual lab itself took longer than I had thought. We began by calculating the internal resistance (port impedance) of the waveform generator. From there we were to observe how the waveform generator operated and how it affected a connected circuit. Later we were to create attenuators and then finally create and measure circuits using our newly introduced computer program SignalExpress. Part 1: Review of Measurement Procedures
