Electronic Pest Repellent is an electronic device that is capable of generating sound of ultrasonic frequency range, not audible to human ear but to pests like rats, rodent, locust ,grasshopper, termite and insects etc. Because of the sound of this frequency (20- 80 kHz) pests feel unpleasant and due to intense auditory stress they move away from the device. Human beings can’t hear these high-frequency sounds. This thesis focuses on the various pest controlling methods and electronic pests controller based on frequency generation technique. The purpose of this thesis is to make smart electronic pest repellent or pest control which is used to dispose pests from nearby weeds and crops on agriculture fields. Such a device can be very useful to counter the various problems caused by insects, pests and rodents etc. The device is compact, cheap, and it does not cause pollution unlike the other chemical repellents. We have used EPR circuit to generate sweep in sound frequencies, and an assembly consisting of audio power amplifier, ultrasonic sensor, arduino uno, capacitors, resistors and LCD for this purpose. Then, we confirmed the working of our designed system on protease software. When we vary the potentiometer we get different output frequency result on oscilloscope and using ultrasonic we measure the distance in which the pests escaped out. Finally, we built hardware implementation to repel pests and small mammals like rats, rodents, grasshopper, locusts and soon from agricultural field and stored products using smart electronic pest repellent.
