Main Course 1.The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963 is a well-written novel including vividly described settings and nicely expressed feelings and emotions. I really admired the way the dialogue and flashbacks were weaved into the storyline. I also enjoyed how each character was abstract and unique, each having their own methods of doing things. The main character had many internal and external conflicts which give a good view of the emotions experienced in the story and made the story immersive and attractive to read. The amusing actions of some of the supporting characters were enjoyable throughout various scenes because they added a playful element to the story. I liked that important tensions in that era are included because it makes the story realistic and explains some of the difficulties during the time of segregation which adds a deep meaning to the story.
