Session 6 document.docx - The generic internationalizing...

The generic internationalizing strategies are: international strategy, multidomestic strategy, global strategy, and transnational strategy. These strategies respond to the two pressures of internationalization in different ways. I am hoping to see four separate threads, each highlighting one of the four generic internationalizing strategies. So, besides the four original entries, other entries are expected to be follow-up ones. Any one of you need not commit to anymore than the session-specific requirements (as stated on the syllabus). The first post on each internationalizing strategy must be made before threaded discussion on any one can begin -- this rule is necessary to make sure that we have at least a minimum level of entry for each internationalizing strategy. In your posts, consider including the following: (a) what are the expense reduction and local customization pressure levels on this kind of internationalization strategy?, (b) why would some firms use this particular internationalization strategy? (c) an example of a real firm that pursued this kind of internationalization strategy. There is no need to address all these aspects in every response. I believe a good international strategy would be KFC. As I have now traveled to many different countries, I have seen the menu at KFC and seen the differences and similarities that they all have.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
