Richard AtkinsProfessor William WardSalvation: Christian Tradition REL-210RS-OL02Final Argumentative Essay
2An argumentative essay defending the thesis that every human person will be saved according to Christian principlesIntroductionChristianity is a monotheistic system that comprises the beliefs and practices derived from the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus Christ as captured in the New Testament, which concentrates on the role of Jesus as savior. The word Christian came to existence after the time of Christ. The followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ are referred to as Christians. Christians believe in God who provides the guiding principles for living in a manner that secures the Christians from harmful thinking and behavior. The scripture used by Christians, that is, the Bible teaches the different ways in which the Christians are to live. Christians are promised the wonderful gift of salvation through the Christian principle which requires them to live their lives in active pursuit of a lifestyle that ensures that they remain pure and clean before the eyes of Godwith careful attention to making sure that they are not involved in activities that distracts their good relationship with God. In Roman 12:1-2, the scripture states that the reasonable service of the Christians is to submit their bodies as a living sacrifice to God and not to be conformed to thepleasures of the world. Therefore, every human person will indeed be saved according to Christian principles. According to Christians, being saved means the actual redemption from sins. True Christianity teaches that people can receive salvation only through the grace of God.
