ECON 3303 PAPER I Due: Monday, October 1, 2018 ELECTRONIC SECURITY The growing use of online transactions using computers, smartphones, electronic transfer of funds while increasing efficiency of financial transactions have also posed several types of risks, which did not exist a few decades ago. In this essay, trace the history of using electronic transactions, identify the benefits and costs ( be specific, using examples ) of using these form of payments. What safeguards can individuals (both for personal and commercial transactions) and public authorities (such as the Feds and Federal Reserve) take to minimize the risks associated with conducting these transactions.
