Are we experiencing o-zone depletion in the United States? o No o We see it in the Artic, in Antarctica o This whole phenomenon occurs because of CFC’s being released and  making their way into the upper atmosphere  CFC’s make an impact on Global Warming, but not much because we limited  them.  o Major Contributors: CO2 Nitrous Oxide Methane o CO2, Nitrous Oxide, and Methane do not cause O-zone depletion, the  CFC’s cause the bulk of the O-zone depletion Ozone Layer Gaseous layer in upper atmosphere that reflects/absorbs the majority(95%) of  the Sun’s ultraviolet radiation(UV) Made up of ozone, O3 Large seasonal thinning of the ozone layer is observed over the poles,  (Antarctica, Arctic) Over the last 20 years the o-zone layer has decreased in Canada Effects
