Tanner RodarmelNSCI 1109/13/2018 //In response to Pope Francis’ stance on evolution andthe Big Bang theory, I will give my critique. Francis cameout a couple years ago and said, “God is not a magicianwith a magic wand”. In other words, he is saying that theLord is unable to create the world out of nothing. This is aprofound statement! The Pope claims that God isincapable of doing the impossible. Such a claimcontradicts Matthew 19:26. In this verse, Jesus said that“with” the Lord “all things are possible” (NIV). So, whoare we to believe? As Christians, should we believe Jesusor the Pope? The answer to these questions is obvious.We should believe our Lord and Savior over what anymere man has to say. //While discussing this, we need to discuss the Pope’smotive behind what he said. The knee-jerk response youwill get from most people is that the Pope did this tomake the Roman Catholic church become modern and
pro-science. I slightly disagree. The Pope did not do this
