Tanner Rodarmel NSCI 110 9/13/2018 // In response to Pope Francis’ stance on evolution and the Big Bang theory, I will give my critique. Francis came out a couple years ago and said, “God is not a magician with a magic wand”. In other words, he is saying that the Lord is unable to create the world out of nothing. This is a profound statement! The Pope claims that God is incapable of doing the impossible. Such a claim contradicts Matthew 19:26. In this verse, Jesus said that “with” the Lord “all things are possible” (NIV). So, who are we to believe? As Christians, should we believe Jesus or the Pope? The answer to these questions is obvious. We should believe our Lord and Savior over what any mere man has to say. // While discussing this, we need to discuss the Pope’s motive behind what he said. The knee-jerk response you will get from most people is that the Pope did this to make the Roman Catholic church become modern and
