ECD Lesson Plan Form Age group: K5 Group Size: Whole Group Activity: Creating a rhyming sentence Subject: ELA SC Early Learning Standard: ELA K-3.6 Objective/Purpose: The students will be able to write their own “Wocket in my Pocket story” by choosing their own words that rhyme, and demonstrate their sentence with a picture. Materials: Whatever materials you would like your student to draw on (construction paper, white boards, etc.) Crayons Pencils “Wocket in my Pocket” book or read aloud Health/Safety Practice Reminder: Crayons should only be used for coloring the picture Transition/Hook: Morning meeting will include a read aloud of “Wocket in my Pocket”, show the students my rhyming activity. Procedure: 1. Read “There’s a Wocket in my Pocket” 2. Review how to make rhyming words – change the beginning sound to make a new word
