7/1/2019 Wolf Reflection - Google Docs 1/1 Angela Young AFSA High School Vadnais Heights 10th Grade Scientist believe that wolves impact the ecosystem because wolves are on top of the food chain and will impact all food chain. The food chain consist of four major level. Sun, plants, prey and predator. If wolves are taken off the food chain, there will be too many moose, deers and beaver. Once beavers, moose and deer overpopulate, there will not be any predator to balance the population of the three animals. When there is too many prey and not enough predators, the prey will eat all the greens. Preys will start dying when there is not enough greens to share. The bacteria that the greens eat might not even make enough energy for greens to grow fast enough for these prey’s metabolism. Even when humans are on the top of the food chain, we cannot control the food chain.
