Angela Young, AFSA Journalism January 18, 2018 VADNAIS HEIGHTS- Hybrid sneetah have been created at the Animal Breeding Center after many trials of failure. During the past few months, biologist have been cross-breeding different type of animals. Two of the animals that have been bred were the cheetah and snail. Biologists Dr. Maddie Randall, Dr. Abby Moe, and Dr. Cindy Young were leading the research conducted. The DNA collected by the biologist were collected when the baby was forming. Fetus that was collected were only days old inside the female cheetah when combined with the snail semen. “Each animal have a different trait they come in. When we had made the sneetah, there was one trait we had to move into the mother snail’s womb to get speed - the light weight of the cheetah,” said Randall.
