Now Apple has not always been the powerhouse it is today, in 1997 they almost went bankrupt and the only thing that saved them was the $150 million that their competitor Microsoft invested in them. Steve jobs, the co-founder of Apple wasa huge part of Apples success. Making changes to how he ran Apple and what was important to the company was instrumental in their success today (Rothaermel, 2017, pg. 440).Apples success over the last decade has a lot to do with their competitive advantage and their knowledge of the market. With technology ever changing and consumers wanting on the go information, Apple gave us exactly what we wanted, the IPhone and we didn’t even know it.
