Acid-Base Titration Objectives: An unknown acid, either a sample of vinegar or an acid salt, will be analyzed by the process of titration, using a standard sodium hydroxide solution. The sodium hydroxide solution to be used for analysis will be prepared approximately and will then be standardized against a weighed sample of a known acidic salt Materials: (2) Burets Safety goggles and Apron Buret stand and clamp 5 mL Volumetric pipet and safety bulb Soap / Distilled Water Plastic bottle with stopper Phenolphthalein indicator Vinegar KHP Paper Boats (6) Erlenmeyer flasks Top Loading electric balance Latex Gloves Summary of Procedures: Clean all six volumetric glassware (flasks). The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
